FATHER'S DAY PRAYER FOR MY CHILDREN

To every child there is a father

so blessed are we to have loved

and at the same time be loved.

We know not when we will part

but always it takes a piece of our heart.

We grieve for as long as it takes

We forgive our God and ourselves,

for things unsaid or not yet done with our precious Dad.

We are truly blessed if we can say as we age

that our Dad is our true hero.

So take the love that was given

and give it back to those you love.

And you will fulfill whatever you are missing on this day

And learn that he has not left you when you need him most.

Instead, you will forever feel his blessed abundance.
